Immune system in domestic animals, as in other living things is undertaking the
task of protection against viruses, bacteri, parasites and tumor cells and work

Pelargonium Sidoides;
Pelargonium Sidoides, also known as wild geranium or African geranium, is used in traditional
medicine for centuries.While it was first used in the treatment of cold and bronsite,
after studies showed that P. sidoides’ have antibacterial and antiviral effects as well as holistic
effects in stimulating the immune system. The activating effect in immune system is provided by
the macrophages activation (with the participation of the cytokine interferon-gamma) and as a
result of immune modulation mechanism mediated by an increase in nitric oxide production.
Activated macrophages produce different cytokines such as interleukin (IL) -1, IL-2, and tumor
necrosis factor-alpha. P. sidoides also modulates the production of secretory immunoglobulin A
in saliva,IL-15 in serum and in nasal mucosa,and IL-6 in serum.
It is reported that the antiviral effect of P.sidoidest is associated with the production of interferons
and it is emphasized that it has an antiviral effect effect on influenza, parainfluenza, respiratory
syncytial viruses, rhino viruses, coxsackie and coronaviruses.

Nutrimune a single dose (2g) should be used for every 10 kg live weight and up to 10 kg in our pet friends daily food.
